what one
IM thinking of buying this game, IM just not sure what one I should buy, should I buy the first one? or would the latest one be the best to start with?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you, Zeddey |

Prophecies, it provides alot of skill quests and it slowly intoduces you into the game rather than just throwing you right into the deep end near the beginning.

I'd buy the new chapter, since most people are in Elona now.
If you buy prophecies now, you might get trouble finding a party int he later missions. And Factions sucks :P |

The more I think about it, the more I think that Prophecies (the original GW) is better suited for players new to GW. It's true that there aren't as many people playing there as there were before Nightfall came out, but the skills aquisition process is much better for those starting with nothing - doing quests to gain skills is much more newbie-friendly than the having to spend the little money that a new player has on skills. Plus, you can concentrate on mastering your characters Primary/secondary profession set without having to deal with finding a good build for each of the heroes that you get with Nightfall.
Nightfall has many aspects that improve upon Prophecies. Heroes - henchmen that you set up however you wnat them - are an improvement over the standard henchmen that you can find in towns to fill out your party, when they're set up well. And Yes, there are tons more people playing Nightfall, but it seems that most people aren't partying up with PUGs (Pick-up groups) anymore, they're just taking their heroes and a few hencies and heading out alone. Either way, they're both pretty good and lots of fun. I wouldn't recommend factions for new players at all. |

Nightfall has a better tutorial, better storytelling, better storyline, general better game mechanics, much better textures/graphics for most areas and huge wurms you can control. Prophecies starts off with two horribly boring areas that usually makes people quit pretty soon (brown sand and snow for hours upon hours) and has a really disjointed story. Seriously, you want Nightfall.
